Brexit: UK’s Repeal Bill Published

Finance

The repeal bill will ensure that EU laws adopted by the UK will be converted into British law. Parliament will then have the power to change them later. If the bill is not passed then there will be no laws after BREXIT.

This bill is going to have a difficult and uncomfortable passage through parliament. All laws derived from the EU will remain in force but can be altered or scrapped later through further legislation. After BREXIT I sincerely hope parliament will be permitted to debate any law amendments properly, after all isn’t this one of the main reasons we voted to leave the EU – to give control back to the UK parliament?
