Are US stock market valuations excessive?

Finance

As US Indices hit fresh records again today – I am beginning to wonder, like many, if the US equities can keep breaking records for much longer?

The US Federal Reserve will announce its latest monetary policy decision on Wednesday (26/07/17) and as we are right in the middle of company results season the decision will be closely watched for any information giving clues as to when it will be time for corporate fundamentals to take over from fiscal stimulus.

The US markets are sitting at record highs – and yet still it appears investors are prepared to keep pressing that trade button despite the potential risks.

Trying to read what’s ‘in between the lines’ will be closely scrutinized tomorrow. Even the Fed chair, Janet Yellen is on record suggesting that equities are expensive ‘by some measures’.

Let’s see what the FOMC has to say on Wednesday.
