To bank or not to bank holiday

Finance

If this is correct – I should be annoyed really… but it just doesn’t surprise me at all!

Apparently, it has been reported (allegedly) that the UK’s BREXIT secretary (create your own job if there isn’t one for you, Mr David Davis) doesn’t want to work on August bank holiday this year – poor thing.

Don’t worry about it Mr chief UK BREXIT negotiator, take the time off! It’s hardly that important, after all it’s only the most serious discussions about the future of the UK this century. It’s only BREXIT so don’t worry, put your feet up, relax and don’t worry about a thing! Let someone else take the strain for a change.

How many UK civil service officials are there working on BREXIT? Do they all need time off for a bank holiday too?

Unbelievable (if true)!

I am attempting to make a serious point here – even if it is a bit tongue-in-cheek. BREXIT, in my opinion, is the single most serious important situation the UK faces right now – and what do we do? We decide to sit back, clasp our hands behind our heads and relax. Ice cream anyone!

Are we really properly prepared for these negotiations?
