The FTSE 100 closed lower today at 7452. The best FTSE 100 performer was: Paysafe Group PLC (PAYS) – up 6.8% on the day and the worst performer was: Acacia Mining PLC (ACA) down 17% on the day.

The 2% inflation target is eluding the Bank of Japan (BOJ). It still appears to be some way-away before this target is reached – and maybe not until 2020? Loose monetary policy is to be maintained at a time when other central banks appear ready to slowly tighten theirs.
