FTSE 100 closes lower
The FTSE 100 closed lower today at 7452. The best FTSE 100 performer was: Paysafe Group PLC (PAYS) – up 6.8% on the day and the worst performer was: Acacia Mining PLC (ACA) down 17% on the day.

Bank of Japan
The 2% inflation target is eluding the Bank of Japan (BOJ). It still appears to be some way-away before this target is reached – and maybe not until 2020? Loose monetary policy is to be maintained at a time when other central banks appear ready to slowly tighten theirs.
FOMC Two-day meeting starts on 25th July

Are US shares world’s most expensive?
US indices have been trading this week at record levels. Based on price to earning ratios the US sits at around 30 times and that’s high. But is it the highest it has ever been and can it go higher still?
