NYSE closed for Labour Day The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will be closed on Monday 4th August for US Labour Day. After this holiday its back to the grindstone as there are no more breaks until the Christmas holidays!

Tokyo Stock Exchange Closed for the Day Just a reminder that Japan has a holiday on 11th August 2017 – mountain day. Apparently this is a new holiday introduced in 2016 to celebrate Japan’s many mountainous regions. Anyway, the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) will be closed for the day.

FTSE 100 close to record high The FTSE 100 index was just 5 points off its record high today (08/08/17) when it closed at: 7542. The FTSE 100 reached 7547 back at the beginning of June 2017. Are new records to be set this week?
