Tesla Model 3 electric car powering ahead

Tesla’s first Model 3 electric car will come off the production line two weeks ahead of schedule, CEO Elon Musk announced Monday via his Twitter feed.

In my opinion this all new electric car has to be an industry game changer – especially because of the price. First indications suggest it will be in the region of $35,000 (£25,000) and that’s similar to the price of a Ford Focus.

The Ford Focus is one of the most popular cars in the UK with a price structure ranging from £19,000 – £24,000 (with many others in the same group). The BIG difference though is that the Tesla electric saloon car will be brimming full with all the latest cutting edge modern technology, and its electric. I think I know which I might go for. Is this the beginning of the end of the internal combustion engine?

Tesla is valued at approximately $59 billion (founded 2003) and has yet to make a profit. To put some sort of comparison on that – Ford Motor Company is valued $45 billion (founded in 1903) – and General Motors at $53 billion respectively.

Go Tesla!!
