Good bye Yellow Pages

News

Good bye Yellow Pages.

The business directory Yellow Pages will no longer be a ‘paper’ publication and is going fully digital from next year. After 51 years in print the familiar yellow book used by millions over the years will be no more.

Sad in a way as yellow pages became a bit of an institution. I used to advertise in it in a previous business I ran. But with pressure from other directories and online big hitters like Google taling the lead its no surprise really it came to an end. At least it will continue online as yell.com

I bought Yell shares a few years ago (seven or so) on a dip expecting a bounce. But that didn’t happen and I had to sell at a loss. Anyway, that’s another story.

Sorry to see you go Yellow Pages – but best of luck to Yell.com
