Has Trump damaged his reputation as a business leader and as President?

News

Has Trump damaged his reputation as a business leader and as President in-light of recent events? His response to nationalist rallies was questioned by business leaders over the weekend.

Trump set-up business advisory groups when he became president. This was seen as a positive move by the business community even though some early doubts emerged when Elon Musk resigned from one of the advisory boards.  Since then many more  CEO’s resigned – more recently – and now Trump has completely disbanded all the business advisory groups.

Where does this leave his tax plans? Has this damaged his credibility both as president and as a ‘business leader’? Are other business leaders or members of the Republican Party likely to distance themselves from him as well?

What will Trump turn his fiery rhetoric and attention to next? Can he now push through his promised policies of tax and infrastructure reform. Will the markets begin to react to this doubt?
