FTSE 100 pulls back

The FTSE 100 index continued to fall today (10/08/17) after falling back yesterday to: 7498 amid increasing geopolitical tension between the US and North Korea after both sides sharpened their worrying rhetoric and after Donald Trump’s concerning and frankly upsetting ‘fire and fury’ statement made to reporters.

North Korea have outlined plans for a missile target near the US territory of Guam.

Companies going ex-dividend today (10/08/17) are also pulling the index down. Earlier it touched 7400 but has since lifted slightly to: 7414 at 12:45
