DOW does it again!

The DOW Jones Industrial Average has done it again today – reaching its ninth straight record high to close on Monday (07/08/17) at: 22118

The S&P 500 and NASDAQ also closed up as did the FTSE 100 & FTSE 250

The FTSE 100 is closing in fast on its recent record high too.

Much of the DOW gain is down to improved global growth and good company growth – shown in recent company results. But how much longer can the DOW aspire to hold at such high levels? Are investors and market analysts happy with the DOW at these high levels? Are shares over-valued or very close to at these levels?

There are general ‘mutterings’ that the stock market is over-valued and due a correction? But who really knows – not me that’s for sure. All I know is, that we are at or close to historic highs with new records set daily and we are also about 9 years into a bull run…

It can’t keep going up forever – can it?
