Rise of the DOW

The DOW Industrial Average continues on its meteoric path of record breaking milestones…

In November 2016 the DOW breaks through 19000 for the first time – record no. 1

In January 2017 the DOW breaks through 20000 for the first time – record no. 2

In March 2017 the DOW breaks through 21000 for the first time – record no. 3

Now the DOW is hovering at 22000 – will this soon be record number 4?

To put this into some sort of perspective – the Dow has moved 3000 points in less than 9 months if it breaks through 22000 soon.

It has moved 2000 points in a little over three months from November 2016 to March 2017

I, for one, didn’t see this meteoric rise coming quite so fast. It has slowed, and is still breaking daily records – but for how much longer?

Is it all down to Donald Trump and his policies or his promises? Or is it down to the Federal Reserve’s policies and recent stellar company performance? Or maybe it’s a little bit of both?

Actually – has Donald Trump made progress with any of his promises yet?

Whatever the reason – it just keeps on going…for the moment.
